About WC in Fields
WC in Fields provides portable toilet hire for events, construction sites and outdoor functions across Dumfries and Galloway and wider south-west Scotland. The family-run business, established in 1988, supplies self-contained toilet units, hot- and cold-water handwashing facilities, showers, toilet blocks and welfare units. Event organisers can hire facilities for agricultural shows, music festivals, mountain bike events, weddings, barbecues, garden parties and other public or private functions. The company highlights regular cleaning and servicing, with weekly cleaning included in the hire price for its portable toilet units. Disabled toilet provision is also listed among its services. For construction and work sites, WC in Fields supplies portable toilets, cabin units, welfare facilities and single, four-berth or six-berth showers. Welfare units include facilities such as a canteen, toilet and integral power generation, while some toilet blocks can connect to holding tanks or the mains sewer. The business also provides septic tank emptying, inspections, maintenance, liquid and grey-water removal, drain cleaning, jetting and unblocking. Repairs to tanks, waste pipes and soakaways are available, with emergency callouts for unforeseen situations. Its website also describes the use of microbial technology and avoidance of harsh chemicals as part of its environmental approach.
