About BOXD Hire
BOXD Hire provides portable welfare unit hire for construction and industrial work across North East England, with a fleet of towable 12ft, 16ft and 20ft eco welfare units. Each unit is self-contained, giving working crews access to a toilet, hot-water hand washing, canteen facilities, drying space and onboard power without needing mains connections. The 12ft unit is designed for crews of up to six, with an open-plan canteen, food preparation area, WC and drying room. Larger 16ft and 20ft units accommodate more people and add a separate office area, making them useful for longer-running sites and larger teams. Facilities include sinks, kettles, microwaves, sockets, diesel heating and LED lighting, with robust composite construction and secure doors throughout. Units are delivered, levelled, tested and handed over ready for use. Water and waste are carried onboard, while servicing and waste removal are handled throughout the hire. The fleet uses Ecosmart-managed generator power, and Starlink satellite Wi-Fi is available as an additional facility for sites with limited connectivity. The service is aimed at housebuilders, groundworks and civil engineering contractors, utilities and highways teams, fit-out crews, event organisers, agriculture and estates businesses, and film and television productions. With practical welfare provision built into each unit, it offers a straightforward solution for teams working in remote locations, temporary compounds and busy construction environments.
